British Heart Foundation collect furniture. Maybe, if you talk to them, or check their website, you could arrange for it to be picked up?

This. I recall when clearing out my parents' house after they died that at least one charity (BHF IIRC) will collect clothes if you have enough of them to donate. In my case about ten or so bin bags full.

We get several charities, leaving collection bags for clothing.
One of them, GOSH, Great Ormand Street Hosp, if you miss the collection day, you can ring them up.

Funnily enough I have just missed one. Its the cancer research. There is a helpline phone number on it.
TBH I won't leave it for doorstep collection as I understand you get lots of skallies stealing your bags.

Read the small print blurb on the back of these collection bags. They sell the clothes as a business and give a little bit of the profit to the charity.

I wear mine until they're full of holes, then use them for workwear until they're even more full of holes, then rip them up and use them for rags to clean the bike. If anyone wants them after that, let me know, perhaps someone would like to start a fashion for shoddy?

The end of the road for recycled clothes.

All the result of mindless fashion following, and having more money than sense. Those who buy the stuff aren't the only fashion victims.

I have this sequence:
wear clothes out and about till good enough to go to the supermarket without embarasing myself, then wear at home or in the garden.
After that, the tee shirts get used as sleepwear, then used as rags for the bike.
The other clothing after the home and garden wear, gets either used as rags for various purposes or given to the cat to sleep on.
After the cat has used my old clothing I need to bin it, the bike's drivetrain would be full of fur!
Clothing that is still good but maybe not to my liking anymore goes to the charity shop.
