Can't help with parking, but the show is absolutely first class. Enjoy!
No - you'll be caught up in the 'get me to the Arena on time' melee. How easy would the Templar and Edward street car parks be to accsess? Would I still get caught in the same trafic as most of Leeds looks like one way streets.

I don't know, but in my experience, Leeds is frankly bloody awful to drive round. I prefer to deposit the rolling iron on the perifery and walk, but I tend to do that anyway, not just Leeds.
I'll be driving from Sheffield. We had no idea where we were going last time so (like the whole arena seemed to be doing) we opted for the car park next door. I think we spent an hour and a half in a queue that was no more than a few hundred yards long.
Yep, that queue sounds about right for the Merrion car park.
Assuming you'll be using the M1/M621, head into the city centre off the motorway past Bridgewater Place, straight under the Dark Arches and onto the Loop around City Square.
Stay on the loop up Quebec Street and take the left onto St Paul's Street.
Park anywhere around there or Park Square on the street (pay and display). It's a 10 minute walk past the Town Hall and over Millennium Square to the Arena.
After the show, you're easily away and onto the Armley Gyratory and back to the motorway.
Makes the whole thing so much easier and you avoid almost all the arena traffic.![]()
On other nights I might agree but three potential snags as I see it:
- you'd be following the same route as other Steelers heading for the Merrion Centre car parks and may find yourself in the mother of all queues before you even get to City Square
- you're relying on on street parking being available where you're going. This is by no means certain on a Friday night, especially with a sell out at the Arena
- in the event of 2. you have no plan 'B' and Dino the dinosaur will be playing to an almost full Arena for the first half of the show
