I ordered a takeaway which later that night left me sitting on the toilet shooting diarrhea whilst at the same time holding a bucket I was puking in. Never had that before both guns blazing it was horrible.

I called just-eat who told me they are not obliged to offer a refund as they are just the middle man. They said to speak to the restaurant who were not willing to refund.

Surely Just-Eat have to be responsible for the restaurants in their marketplace?

What was the food?
You should report the actual takeaway restaurant to public health if you are sure it was the food, let them know you are going to do this. Campobacter, E. coli, salmonella etc are reportable

Could also be a coincidence and actually be nirovirus

Just-Eat have no more responsibility for the quality of the food than the landlord of the building the takeaway's operating from. Leave them a bad review on Just-Eat, contact Trading Standards if you feel you should, and drink plenty of fluids.

I have never understood just eat.
I just go direct to the take away and cut out the middleman. They dont have to pay commission to just eat so will be happier with the transaction.
I also opt to collect instead of wait for a delivery, that way i know the food hasnt been sitting around.

It was Japanese. Chicken teryaki, rice, some Japanese mushroom sh*t, tempura banana, crackers.

It was definitely the food I hadn't eaten much that day, about 3 hours after eating stomach was insanely bloated, cramps etc. Then it all started coming out.

Stop complaining, you've just lost any weight you put on over christmas in one easy session!

The rest of us are gonna have to work it off over weeks

I did think about that, but then the high calorie stuff like rice would of all been digested by then it's the high fibre low cal stuff like brocolli that was still visible.

Time to learn to cook own food ;)

I only use my local Indian, Chinese and chippy. And collect

I used another Chinese once, never again, campylobacter for 2 weeks, needed antibiotics to kill the bacteria causing diarrhoea, cramps, nausea!

Count yourself lucky you got rid quickly. Probably the rice or chicken in your case

Are you serious?

See the episode as a serious (re)cycling event.

Not really. They're mainly a communications service. I've used them to find and try a new takeaway (they seem more up-to-date than directories or web searches) but gone direct to the takeaway thereafter.

Still check http://www.scoresonthedoors.org.uk/ before ordering. Be wary of anything less than 4 IMO.

Maybe they don't have to refund but as a gesture of good will they should. I just looked at my previous orders in 2015 alone I used Just-Eat 63 times.

I've never requested a refund before. This is supposedly a good restaurant, not some cheap kebab sh*t hole. It cost £38 for my dinner and it leaves me on the toilet all night. F%&k you Just-Eat.

Clearly you're not as serious about your food as you are about your cycling.
