Is there a reason they are protected? I wouldn't have said we're short of them.

ETA - just seen the RSPB link. I suppose I see a lot more of them because of where I live.

Hope he's feeling lucky, shooting a seagull would be tricky I think.

A moderately skilled shot can drop a moving clay pigeon, so a real gull standing on a chimney ought to be a bit easier.

Some poachers use quality air weapons because an air weapon is relatively quiet.

One of those guys could do the job.

I've shot air weapons and shotguns as a teenager, and was rubbish at both.

If it was me pulling the trigger the gull would die of old age before I hit it.

Third year and the buggers back, two chicks to protect. I stood in the garden and with all the squarking it summoned a band of about 10 gulls all circling above me trying to warn me off.
