Bamboo socks are terrible, once you sweat they remain damp.

I sweat, so no sock is ever dry unless I'm in summer shoes in summer. I do bamboo tops when I can get them.

Look up the toxic effects of carbon disulphide, often used in “bamboo” textile manufacure.

These don't. I have must be ten ribbed pairs in many colourful designs. I pay £10 a pair for them. They are so comfy, wash well and are very breathable. The only slight downside is they take over a day to dry after washing, due to the quality thickness of them.
