I went to Glasto 2 years running in the mid 80s... at the first one, I had to camp in a tent next to the woman I'd recently broken up with ... and listen to her sh@gging her new bloke... so that wasn't all good
At the second one, our tent got burgulated, and the stash of beer me and my mate had bought, and my nice camera (Olympus Trip ... remember them?) got robbed.
However, I enjoyed both, despite the setbacks, and copped off with an older woman at the second :okay:

Definitely no! I couldn't go without the comforts of home for more than 24 hours. All that standing up and being pushed and jostled doesn't appeal to an old git like me!

A dissenting voice! Yes, I do kind of wish I was at Glastonbury. Who wouldn't want to be pissed with their mates singing along to a well-loved tune? Ah well, I'll settle for the BBC coverage.

I wouldn't swap my current location with Glastonbury. Ever.

No way. Loads of pissed up 40 something fauxhemians in hunter wellies, roughing it for a weekend of crowds, camping and mud. Not my idea of fun.

My word, I've just looked at the line-up. It's a potent mix of artists I actively despise, artists I'm totally indifferent about, artists that really should have called it a day twenty years ago and artists that I've never heard of.

But then again, I'm really not the kind of audience they'd want there either, so everyone's happy.
