Bought Bosch Professional cordless drill set.....have I made a mistake?

If it's anything like the two that I've had then expect to be replacing the batteries in a few years.

Switch it off, unplug it. Place your mobile inside, switched on. Close the microwave door & phone your mobile. It shouldn't ring, if it does your microwave may have dodgy door seals or you might be close to a mast.

i would have thought you would start to cook if it was dangerous. If I put my phone in the microwave and phone it it doesn't ring. It doesn't ring if its not in the microwave either. This might be because I am not close to a mast,

Cool pack 18volt. They don't self discharge....supposedly! and they came with 2 X 4amp 18volt batteries and the company selling them threw in a spare 3amp and Bosch added another 4amp battery if you registered them. AND I accidentally registered them 3 times. I am tripping over batteries!!!

My microwave is over 20 years old. I sometimes wonder if it's still safe after all this time.

Brother combi one. Don't think Brother have even made microwaves for years. It just keeps going and the oven setting makes lovely crisp baked potatoes.

I bought a Brother combo microwave in 1984, cost £430 and I was earning about £700 per month at the time. It was a great bit of kit for a single man, loads of baked potatoes, roast chicken and cakes but unfortunately got stolen when I was burgled about 15 years later.

In a similar vein, I've just fettled a lawnmower made in the 60`s. It smokes a bit but the cut it gives is great.
My other mower is about 25 years old and the lawnmower place reckons that one's an antique!

It helps to switch your phone on.

It only takes a small amount of leakage to cause eye damage I believe.

Grow a beard, then you won't need them. (oops, beaten to it by a much better remark)

Great in a combi. Seems to cook quick but still crisp the skins......lovely.

We have a light bulb that was fitted in the 1980's, we have only been in the house since 1993 and it's still going.
Our 1993 oven we passed onto my sister a few years ago, still going strong in daily use.
And I've just donated a small fridge to the charity shop that I bought 2nd hand of a mate in 1988, it's still going strong, been on all day every day for the last 35+ years

Just remembered our previous washing machine was a Hotpoint top loader. Lasted at least 25 years. The current Miele cost a fortune, has loads of fancy programmes, but is nowhere near as good. It's also had to have the engineer out twice.
One of the best things about the top loader, was when you find the sock you dropped carrying the washing down and have started the machine, you could just open it up and pop it in.
