Are there any hybrid bikes in the £300-400 price range better than the carrera subway

I'm thinking of buying the carrera subway (link below) from halfords for £300 but I'm wondering if I could be getting better value or quality elsewhere for the price. If you think I can could you recommend a bike or post a link please, I'm 5'7 and 140lbs if it matters. Thanks in advance to replies.
