I don't complain about Clarkson. Generalisations and stereotypes are very useful, especially in the area of humour.I don't understand your point, but either way I'm not calling anyone anything.
Quite the opposite: categorising people because of how they look and our experience of a minority of that (perceived) group is the sort of generalisation about which we, rightly, complain when it comes from the likes of Clarkson.
A cyclist is someone who cycles.
If someone cycles through a shopping centre or pedestrian precinct or RLJ's or rides with no lights or horror of horror rides a BMX or a crooozer are they still a cyclist?
