This is a pointless debate
You now think it is pointless as you know you've lost.
If my house is broken into, when I am away. I am a victim. There has been no assault on me. In the same way, the lady was a victim of violent behaviour- for the offences see my earlier post.
Re assaulting a car - please show me and the rest of the forum where I have said or suggested there is such an offence. I have never said or implied such a thing. You seem to be twisting words and importing things into what I have said
Isn't this what lawyers do. You should be used to it, taste of your own medicine.
Re criminal damage - you would note that I said criminal damage or attempted criminal damage was a POSSIBLE offence - neither I nor you have examined said car so do not know if there was damage. We only have an account from one party to the incident.
As for the last question, that is not what is alleged to have happened and I am not going to be side tracked by such diversionary tactics.
And of course being a defence lawyer you have NEVER used diversionary tactics ..........
You clearly seem to think you know the law so well that it would not be hard for you to look up said situation

Maybe she felt bad when she saw you being leant on by plod or realised she could be under suspicion if you gave your side of events so fessed up pdq. But as you stated plod wasn't interested in her, only in you, throwing their weight around.

I wouldn't make a habit of it though if I were you. I think you will be more restrained if it occurs again, or just make sure you don't do it again in front of any plods who are never going to side with a cyclist who has almost been run down.

Actually from experience of slapping cars for varied reasons (I was more slap-happy when younger, one notable time resulted in a chase down one way streets by a psycho WVM, so nowadays the last time I did so was when pulled in on whilst riding the 'bent and below the side window, with no air in the airzound - a survival tap rather than aggressive or retaliatory) it rarely has that effect.
My guess is that the lady concerned was actually quite reasonable and made a mistake (it happens to us all) and might have equally realised her error if you had pulled alongside at the next lights and said "excuse me, I doubt it was intentional but that was really close when you passed me - it gave me a real scare and if I'd slipped or hit a loose stone I might have been under your wheels"
Of course dissecting things after the event is easy and it shows the shortcomings of the police concerned that they could not be impartial and objective
I said similar to an old distinguished looking gent, in a similar circumstance once. He somewhat surprised me by responding ''oh really? f*****g good job I didn't hit ya then, ya t**t! now f**k off!'' before dropping the hammer and roaring away with just a hint of wheelspin.
To this day I wish I'd tap-danced my complaint with the studs of my Razors on the bonnet of his Lexus instead. Ah well, regrets.
