I'd like to think you were right, but I reckon you're mistaken - although he might still be hoping for the Manchester United job.

People keep saying this about various managers but it seems pretty complacent attitude for a manager to have. A, there is no guarantee of when Fergie will leave and B, apparenty there is a lot of competition for the job.

His loyalty to Everton is admirable but it could also be interpreted to show a lack of ambition and that he is too comfy there.

True and I wasnt picking on you! Its just a lot for people seem to comment on the Man U job as the one a lot of managers are 'waiting' for and it doesn't seem a good game plan. In management your star sometimes only rises for so long and you have to take your chances when you can.
