I would expect the majority of young cyclists who have never had any training to see a bicycle painted in these feeder lanes and to want to then feel encouraged to filter up on the inside of vehicles to get into position in an ASL
Then this morning, I see this on the back of a lorry. so what is wrong....LA's encouraging people without the experience to make the judgment call which might put them in mortal danger by officially painting cyclist signs in filter lanes to ASL's on congested junctions, or the unoficcial signage on the back of HGV's warning the cyclists to not filter up the side of them in the same situation.
We see empowerment being foisted by the authorities, but I wonder whether that is an entirely good thing in this instance.
Should ASL's be phased out (or at least these feeder lanes)....the idealism behind them can't be worth someone s life can it ?
