It will if you use friction shifters, well it does on this,

However you'll need a medium cage mech (GS) to get it to work with a triple, I keep meaning to swap over the rear mechs from this,

so that I can fit the Ultegra triple I've got in the shed to the red/white Raleigh with the 105 double replacing the black Truvativ

Thank you for the replies, most helpful.
What a splendid looking Raleigh, have a similar bike myself.
Bought in the mid. '70's ,called a Raleigh "Long Fellow" because of its very large frame.
Have just recently restored it, but not to your standard.

They don't look that good in reality (they're not meant to) but mechanically they're 'top notch'
