Hi All,

Quick question again bike assembly:

Do I grease inside the stem where it clamps on the steerer and handlebars? (Steerer is carbon). If yes, do I need to use special grease for carbon?

Thanks!

No, no reason for that.

You can use fibregrip/carbon paste when clamping carbon parts. This allows you to use a lower torque setting without risking anything slipping or crushing the carbon steerer. It also stops any galvanic corrosion if you're using metal on carbon parts.

You don't need to do this, but its a good idea.
