Heavy rain and strong winds here in Staffs.

Up at 5 to go out, got ready, kitted up, got to the door and the heavens opened. Changed clothes and have sat here drinking coffee until I go to work.

I'll swear someone is watching me get my bike kit on, then flicks the sh!t weathers switch when I open the back door!

That band of heavy rain overnight is here. Its looks set in for the day. The temp will be about 10deg lower than it has been, and there could be an overnight frost tonight.

Bye bye Summer .... the rain and dullness has reached here today. September had about 19 mm of rain, and so far we have had 5 today. To be honest the soil really needs it, I was planting wallflowers yesterday and the ground was so dry and dust-like. But I wish it could rain at night time only!

A day of contrasts here, rain arrived about eight this morning, was raining like someone had been boat building at times, had stopped by dinner time, by two in the afternoon it was like a summers day. Autumn is definetly on its way, the tree have started to shed their leaves, its cold early morning and evening and I've started to have to evict insects from the house.
