On average I'm a whipper snapper the average age of 3.7years and average of 7,188miles each. I need to rebuild a couple of frames and I can get that up to around 6 year average (still relatively young) and an average of 12,400miles each. The 8 year old frame which was last rideable 2 years ago which has 40,600miles heavily skews the latter stat

Does anyone's average age bike exceed their own age? I suspect it's unlikely, so does anyone own a bike older than them? A few will I guess. I don't, because I've sold my 83 year old butcher's boy bike* and my oldest now is a mere 44.

* the bike is 83, not the boy.
Yes, only three of my bikes are younger than me and the average is older than me.

What if our bikes were bought as a frameset? One bike has a new frame plus a 7 year old drivetrain. Another has a 30 year old bottle cage, and another has a nifty old bell.
