Awful News From Gent-Wevelgem Race

I am watching highlights of today's first stage from the Basque Country and a motorcyclist has just tried to force his way through on the left of the bunch on a narrow road. There was a concrete drainage channel at the side of the road and it was angled up the hillside. The motorbike was moving slowly and it moved up the channel to try and squeeze through. The motorbike was wobbling about alarmingly and I could hear riders in the peloton shouting at the motorcyclist to basically GTF back!

There is clearly still a lot more work to do to get the safety message across ...
