I do hope that I don't miss all this good weather before I get my bike LOL, is their a big summer winter divide in riding ?
What good weather? There is a divide between summer and winter, summer is wet and miserable while winter is wet, miserable and cold!

Welcome to the forum from the best side of Manchester

I'm waiting for my cyclescheme voucher thingy to arrive as well but this will be the first cycle I've owned since about 1974 when I discovered i: motorcycles and ii: that girls in a car were much more er.....how shall I put this? I think compliant, or maybe even pliable or perhaps comatose.....er no, I wasn't that boring, but then again, maybe I was! I got rid of my motorbike when I found out that cars were, as I mentioned above, infinitely more comfortable than a park bench when it came to romance. Talking of romance, I took Mrs. Fudgepanda to the Manc Velodrome last night as she wanted to have a look at it and while I was having a coffee she wandered off, to the toilets so I thought, but NO! She'd been into Evans Cycles and chosen a bike after extensive research based on (I think) the colour. It is nicely retro it has to be said - the colour not necessarily the bike itself. So brace yourselves for periodic visits to this forum by my good lady wife. I too have a motorcycle, a 20 year old Yamaha FJ1200. Oh, while I think of it, :welcome: from the Tame side of Manchester. See what I did there? Tame side rather than Tameside yeah? Yeah? Oh please yourselves,

See yo ah kidz

Nice TRX850. A good move that one, a parallel twin that sounded like a Vee. If I can do it I'll see if I can post a picture of my steed, but don't hold your breath, it could take a while. It'll take me some time to work out how to post a photo

It's easy just upload tp photo bucket then copy the link and paste in the thread, (well that's what my teenage son told me to do) lol

The TRX is a great bike for a scratch around or a track tool, it's mint on Cadwell Oulton or Mallory I find it's a bit short on BHP at the likes of Donny, got a track day at Mallory next Friday hope the weather picks up

Should be getting my new bike with peddle power this week..
I've only been doing it for 2 weeks so I'm well out of condition. :training:

I'm liking this forum more every day. Not only is it (this thread anyway) becoming increasingly like a home for the Manc Mafia, I'm also thinking of asking for it to be renamed motorcyclechat.net
