Ice. Keep an eye for increasing redness and infection. Sounds like those horrid tick things that live in grass got you

Vinegar is for wasp stings iirc

You could try the Zap-it. I am going to get one for the wife. She quickly ends up looking swollen and itchy whenever small flying things or ants are about.

Best thing ive ever found for itching bites mosser bites or flea..
heat the area as hot as you can cope with for 10 mins..shower bath etc or local with a hot flannel.

the histomines do something and the itching totally stops Bliss.

i suffer with bites and take anti histomines often

In between here and there
I had a few lumpy Gnat bites and had a soak in a Dr Salts bath not for that reason but they were all but gone afterwards

I suddenly developed a much worse reaction then the one shown some 4 years ago. I now ride in Longs all year round and tuck the bottom of each leg into my socks. For bare areas I use Deet. So far in the three and a half years I've been doing this I've had one bite. As one of my other habits is Bird Watching I spend a lot of time in areas where getting bitten is an ever-present possibility.
