Back in the fold?

Ever sold a bike that you loved and then had the chance to buy it back?

I bought a lovely Colnago off a colleague about 5 or 6 years ago. Loved riding it but then was offered a carbon frame by the same colleague...couldn't really afford it at the time so he offered to trade back the Colnago. Long and short of it is that, although I really like the carbon, I've never really forgotten the Colnago. I loved the ride but also (probably stupidly!) felt great riding a proper classic.

Anyway, I'm now looking to build up a frame and have the chance again to buy the Colnago...will be a bit more expensive than buying a cheap frame (some nice ones on Planet X) but the draw is there! Go for it?

I sold a bike a couple of years ago that I had from new in the early 90s. I told the guy I sold it to, that if he ever sold it to give me first refusal.
It is back in my garage, and I very rarely use it, but that doesn't bother me, I have it back
