Today I got my first (ever!) puncture. I do know how to fix them though, I've done it several times for friends and family, so I thought it would all be fine.
First off, it was nigh on impossible to get the tyre off the rim. It literally took me around an hour. Like I said, I've changed tyres before, but this was something else.
I decided to put in a new inner tube, and repair the other inner when I had time, as I had a commitment to go to. With the tyre being so tight it again took a long time, a lot of patience and brute force. By the time it was back on I was too late to go to commitment. Fine.
I then noticed that I had made a pinch puncture, despite having the inner slightly and being as careful as possible, obviously the tightness of the tire meant I had to use too much force and it got punctured.
So I had to get the inner out (again a LONG job), repair it and put it back in. It took even longer than last time because I was being super super careful not to cause another pinch flat. Except I did.
I'm too exhausted to have another go (been at it since 4!) and I'm too scared of making another pinch puncture so I am going to leave it until tomorrow. I don't have a car (as I can't afford to) so I am currently without transport except my legs.
I just need a hug
