I've told the tale before but, along similar lines; the Shrewsbury College of Arts and Technology was proud of its acronym S.C.A.T. and had it printed on everything.....until someone cheeky that I know pointed them in the direction of a dictionary.

They've now rebranded simply as Shrewsbury College.

.... and for many years Haberdasher Askes Girls School had the initials on the badge of every girls blazer.
As a teenage boy with my school mates the joke never wore out on the bus home .....
(Until I got clobbered by a 6'2" girl in the year above me called Fiona Bruce, yes, that Fiona Bruce)

Really - yes. Out of around probably 250 people I’ve been asked to pass the durex 2 or 3 times. Maybe it’s a local thing.

Well, totally concede to your experience. It wouldn't stick in my memory the way it would sit in yours.
