Bah-humbug...Christmas gripes

I like Christmas.But it should not begin till today.

I thought Jesus was 'born' on the 25th, hence the reason for 'celebrating' the holy day.

I'm sure it's already been said before and I'm not the greatest lover of Xmas and this is not helped by it starting in bloody November.

I think Xmas should have an official start date of 15th December. A 10 day build up is more than enough.

My gripe is the commercially driven build up to through November and Advent to have what amounts to a week of gluttony.

You chose to be self employed though . You can't say that it's not a known either. So you factor that in . Always used to set aside a percentage for rest of months to cover the 4 weeks ( 2 either side) at Christmas .

You are bang on correct there, it does not mean I have to like it. Also when I went self employed all those moons ago I had no choice, it was the only way I could find to support my wife and child, I was 19 at the time.
