Excellent, although I liked their Moroder stuff best so am looked down upon by their uber fans, who, remind me of Hank Wangford fans, they know every word too.......

Classic

As we've now got onto bands that are still together we could do bands that should split up, I'll start - The Rolling ****ing Stones, give it up pleeeeeaaaassseeee, you're an embarrassment.
The Who. They're shoot. And I can't stand people calling them a mod band. They haven't been that since the mid 60s. They're a pretentious rock band, but I like the film quadrophenia.
I remember seeing them doing This Town Ain't Big Enough on TOTP and it was like the Martians had landed. Every kid in the school was talking about it the next day. Amazing record, then and now.
they split at the beginning of this year after many years playing, i'd just got into them too. they were actually a folk band in the end and a bloody good one too.

@CharlieB and I went to their last UK performance at City Varieties. A cracking gig it was too. I wouldn't go as far as calling them a folk band though. I saw them three times in the final two years of their existance and was kicking myself for not paying attention to them sooner.
