Morning all,
I have a Whyte Montpellier and am considering adding some bar ends. The bars on the Montpellier/Stirling are only 580mm wide and slightly swept back. To my mind it looks like it might be a bit twitchy using bar ends on these bars.

Does anyone have any experience of using this setup or informed opinion that they could share please?

Many thanks,

ssd....

Bar ends makes a bike less twitchy, not more, since it effectively lengthens the bars. It is easy to demonstrate, when your hands are on bar ends they are in a wider position than without bar ends.

That would be a seemingly logical answer however i find that I have more fine control when using the grips rather than the bar ends, and looking at the swept back nature of the bars it puts your hands whilst slightly wider also slightly further back.....slightly,
