I like Lizardskins 3.2, it is very thick. The Fizik is ok, used before, prefer the LS, looks and feels lush, but it is more expensive (Sigma sport often have at good price). It does wear, depends if the price is a barrier for you

Better probably comes down to personal preference

Thanks, I've seen somewhere else about white tape, fortunately my bike is dark grey so white wouldn't suit
The grey LS is lush :okay:

I've had lizard for the last couple of years but for comfort Specialized bar phat is superior imo. That will be my choice for a re wrap next month.

I used Cannondale Synapse tape once then replaced it with a cork/gel tape when changing my handlebars. I will definitely switch back to the Synapse next time - it is thick but lovely - and lovely to apply too; it has a grippy strip down the middle of the underside but is not adhesive and it has a bit of stretch to it too - makes it a joy to put on and gives good results. Very comfortable too.

That looks really good, I'm going to have a look at it tomorrow . Thanks mark st1

It's good stuff. There are two thicknesses: 4.5mm and 2.5mm. With the gel pads on the former, it means they are super squishy, but come up big. If you want a bit less cushioning and a less wide profile, the 2.5mm version might suffice.

I've been using lizard skins (2.5) for a year or so. It feels really nice - padded and grippy - but seems to have an annoying tendancy to unwrap itself. The adhesive bit on the back isn't up to much!
