Barrel adjusters for STIs...

... you know - the things that are presumably intended to go in the threaded stops on the downtube? I don't mean the things that convert braze-ons - the frame is clearly intended for STIs, but my levers didn't come with barrel adjusters. Does anyone know where to get them, and whether one is much the same as another? I assumed it would be easy, but my LBS didn't have any, and I haven't found any online.

I think you are right. I should have read the OP more carefully.

I have Inline barrel adjusters in the middle of the cable section between the STI lever and the cable stop on the frame, just hanging free!
Jagwire do them, mine are 5 years old like this:

More modern and compact versions no doubt available. Contact a Jagwire stockist.

I know the braising theclaud is talking about, they need[/b] the barrel adjusters, the cable outer doesn't sit in the threaded housing properly.

no just a bit overpriced. note planet x sell them singly for more than you'd buy a pair elsewhere

Thanks all. Yes those are the thangs. The PlanetX ones are a bit pricey. Hopefully the price on the Cycles UK site is for a pair - I'll phone them and check before I buy.
