Spend majority of my time on the hoods when riding, so after looking at some of the pics on here, I`m being swayed to fit bull horn type aero bars or possibly cut down some old bars I have on an old frame in the garage. I am presuming that they are loads more comfortable. Or am I just turning into a poser on a fixed

Oh can anyone recommend a pair of brakes that sit across the flats rather than the drops? If you know what I mean, gees I do sound even more of a poser

I don't ride fixie but I'll reply 'cos my flight deck sounds like what you're after. Reversed chopped cinelli bars, full STI, tektro inline brakes (mostly hidden behind the short aero bars used instead of drops). I use those hard foam bar grips - a lot of people hate 'em but they are very comfy for the aeros.

I've just added some On One Midge bars to my bike. http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/HBOOMI/on-one-midge-handlebar

They are a type of flared drop bars and therefore have a very shallow drop. I rarely used the drop before getting these but found them very comfortable at the weekend and spent a lot of my ride using the drop sections. These bars were reduced to £15 when I got them a couple of weeks ago, I use them with brakes on the top of the bars.
