I always wear vest base layers what ever the weather.
Me too.
I always wear vest base layers what ever the weather.
I forgot to take a short-sleeved jersey to Devon for my latest trip down there. (I thought that I had left one at my sister's cottage.) I only took a lightweight long-sleeved jersey with me. That jersey was ok for rides on cool to warm days, but too much on the hotter days. I ended up doing those rides in a long-sleeved base layer with a lightweight gilet over the top. It turned out to be a very comfortable combination.I always wear vest base layers what ever the weather.

I only wear a base layer when I want to stay warm. Base layers to wick sweat is just a myth, putting another barrier in the way of sweat doesn't work.
You don’t want to wick sweat unless you want to stay warm. If sweat isn’t evaporating then it isn’t cooling you.
