Bath or shower?

What does Nesh and Pothery mean?? I feel I should know what Nesh is, but I can't rememeber

Nesh is cold. I am nesh, I feel the cold.
Pothery is to do with the weather. When it's close or humid, it's really pothery.

I don't think we really have a word for it other than 'close' or 'muggy', presumably because its such a rare occurrence here!!

We use 'muggy' too. Not baltic though. We are a little more plain speaking. We call that 'F***in' freezing' or Brass Monkeys of course

For the last 2 years we have only had a house with a shower... thankfully it has plenty of water and is really powerful. Last time I had a bath would have been on holiday in March this year. I do like having a nice long hot soak when my muscles are aching.

Almost exclusively the bath for me. The only time a shower gets used is if I'm gettng ready to go out t'pub or similar.
Wallow in your own filth always makes me laugh. I have this image of the young ones in the bath scene..., hilarious. But in real life, I bathe every day, and in engineering, I can get moderately dirty, but really ?...wallowing in filth ?...hardly. No doubt, not as hygenic as a shower but infinately more relaxing. Bath every time for me.

Plus, I dont give a damn about how much water it uses, the relaxing properties on my aches and pains are worth every penny

Actually, the phrase 'Its f*cking freezing' comes up a lot too!!

Shower every time. I fitted a double sized shower tray and stuff donkeys years ago. When my boys got to around 14 or 15 they were moaning about not being able to soak in a bath to ease the aches after rugby and football matches. .So a bath was fitted with a decent shower head over it.

I think the 'bath' was used maybe 3 times.

A re-fit 2 years ago saw a return to a big shower cubical.

I'm happy to have a scalding shower then relax afterwards. Bugger getting even more prune like by lying in water that gets colder by the second.

I normally use the shower, but every now and again love a good soak in the bath. As for wallowing in your own dirt, I think a good soak is good for getting rid of more dirt.

Bath. Can't get used to these new fangled showers. Its always cold when you get out of them.

Shower all the time. Baths take too long and use too much water.

I prefer showers, but we've only got a bath.
I must admit, though, having a glass of something or reading a book in a shower never goes as well as I'd like.

Shower most of the time. Bath the evening after a bike ride or just to relax at the end of the weekend. Once rented a house with only a shower and vowed that everywhere I will ever live will have a proper bath from then on.
