I guess. Rod Stewart is to appear I've heard, so good luck to him

He’s come out as a Farage supporter, so f**k him!

I don't mind it being on the TV, it is the saturation/obsession on the website that really irritates

But in this age of a 1000 channels so what, plenty of other stuff to watch.
Plus no-one is forced to watch but having the option to is good surely?

Well personally I'm very happy with coverage BBC provides of Glastonbury, there are certain groups and singers I'll watch out for but every year I'll find someone new I really like and doubt I would otherwise.

So, chapeau BBC I say

Same here, I normally watch a fair few bits. I'm not much of a telly watcher but it's something I look forward to.

Their desperation to ‘get down with the youth’
Youth? Glastonbury is packed with old hippies and fat arthritic former punks. Rod Stewart is headlining for gawds sake.

A strange thing to be irritated by. You have to actively click on these things to be irritated by them.

Mot really, there were 13 different stories about Glastonbury today, on the front page !

he’s not headlining.
He’s doing the Sunday afternoon slot.
And I think his comments about support for Nigel Farage may have just sunk his chances of a good reception.

Can anyone explain to me the obsession the BBC has with Glastonbury ? The BBC webpage has 13 separate articles about the festival on it's front page and that doesn't include scrolling left and right. I understand it is popular, I even went in the mid 1980's, but honestly, does the majority of the population care, or even know it is on ? I find it peculiar to say the least - does the BBC hold shares in the company that runs it or something ?

Well at least it's not gone the way of F1, or Football, or Cycling, or..... Lost to the world of subscription and adverts.

Basically I'm saying it's a big event and I'm glad I can pick and choose from several events each year to listen to. I used either BBC Sounds or listen live on the radio.

The Beeb only televise 5 or 6 of the stages, there are loads of other ones. Having stewarded there the last couple of years the punters are of a whole age range, loads of younger folk, who go to see other stuff rather than some of the past it acts.

Thought I'd discovered an interesting new band in Wunderhorse, but on closer reflection it turns out I'd actually seen them before supporting Fontaines DC.
