I don't mind it being on the TV, it is the saturation/obsession on the website that really irritates

I guess. Rod Stewart is to appear I've heard, so good luck to him

But in this age of a 1000 channels so what, plenty of other stuff to watch.
Plus no-one is forced to watch but having the option to is good surely?

Well personally I'm very happy with coverage BBC provides of Glastonbury, there are certain groups and singers I'll watch out for but every year I'll find someone new I really like and doubt I would otherwise.
So, chapeau BBC I say

Same here, I normally watch a fair few bits. I'm not much of a telly watcher but it's something I look forward to.
Youth?Glastonbury is packed with old hippies and fat arthritic former punks. Rod Stewart is headlining for gawds sake.

he’s not headlining.. Rod Stewart is headlining for gawds sake.
Can anyone explain to me the obsession the BBC has with Glastonbury ? The BBC webpage has 13 separate articles about the festival on it's front page and that doesn't include scrolling left and right. I understand it is popular, I even went in the mid 1980's, but honestly, does the majority of the population care, or even know it is on ? I find it peculiar to say the least - does the BBC hold shares in the company that runs it or something ?![]()
he’s not headlining.
He’s doing the Sunday afternoon slot.
And I think his comments about support for Nigel Farage may have just sunk his chances of a good reception.
I'm sure I'll watch bits of the coverage this weekend, but not Rod (bloody) Stewart.
