My beard is 10 years old this year, though I have trimmed it a couple of times.

I've no idea about beards but I think hormones related to cycling could well make you look like Brian Blessed or a Hackney Hipster. Shortly before our daughter was born, I looked down at my puny body in the bath and was surprised that I looked like some kind of caveman. Most of it disappeared a few months after she was born. The endocrine system is pretty powerful.

OK . Science . Maybe

My brothers a Jaffa . And tells people so he not bothered . He can't grow a beard at all never been able to . Has a great head of hair . Hit 40 and he could grow a beard . Still a Jaffa

I have lots of hair on chin and body but not head . Lots of pregnancies (22 at last count - wife miscarried lots )

Causation or correlation ???

Haven't heard that that phrase for a while.

A friend of his had issues with strangled testes and got removed , so had the nickname subbuteo , cos he had a small plastic ball to replace it. Which was better than the original " Hitler" before the replacement ..

Whereas in reality a study in 2016 looked at operating theatre staff and found no significant difference in the infection risk between unshaven and shaven staff. In fact for some like Staphylococcus, the clean shaven fared worse!
Aren't bacteria essential for our health anyway as it's the sterile sanitised society that's causing issues . I remember getting mud in all sorts of places soil in cuts and just running under water in a stream and I never got ill ( and don't really get ill now)

Not true, I have bacteria in my throat now and I can't cycle and I'm in pain with no energy. Most bacteria is the work of the devil. When people build a colony on mars and dig beneath the surface a new strain of bacteria will be found but probably won't harm us.

There is a Martian in Woking... we could ask

Yeah well, you can prove anything with facts though.
