We woke to a dusting of snow yesterday and it remains that way this morning. It's still blooming fresh though!

Blown over lamp posts here, which have been recently refurbished so that's a bit annoying. Buses, trains and planes have been cancelled (tricky for automobiles too) but incredibly the Metro soldiers on.

Started snowing on Dartmoor this morning... they reckon it may be up to 50cm!

I measured it at 23cm here yesterday and that was on the caravan roof, more is falling now witha big lump to come later. There is no chance of getting either car off of the drive.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, it's quite snowy in Glossop. There are 5 routes out of the town, all but one are closed. All family at home today, as they were yesterday. Not getting on each others nerves....yet

I have,but then the idiot will see it's gone and go and put some more down. He's obsessed about chucking "tons" of grit down. A pity he's not as obsessed about picking rubbish up. He just strides over it. There's been a pizza box outside his flat now for ooh i'd say about 4 months. So long in fact that it's turning to papier mache.

We're having a normal winter and the country grinds to a halt.
A bit of nostalgia for those of a certain age and to remind folk what a really serious winter is like.
This current lot will be gone by next week.
