This is the North Korea where political rivals are publicly murdered by shooting them with an anti-aircraft gun, where the population is starved and quite literally kept in the dark? The North Korea that torpedoes ships and murders sailors, launches artillery strikes over the border and maintains a massive army on that border? North Korea that has openly threatened to launch nuclear attacks on the West, South Korea, Japan etc etc?
Oh let's not criticise them because we have nuclear weapons?
North Korea is certainly not above criticism.
Because the issue is with nuclear weapons the imbalance between those in the nuclear club and those outside it was made.
If however you want to broaden the issue out to other issues then you perhaps need to look at both sides rather than pick on all the issues you have with your enemy and ignore those of your friend.
Just off the top of my head, in recent years we have had the US waging a war in Afghanistan for no justifiable reason, they invaded Iraq on a made up lie about them having rockets pointed at us, they carry out countless military actions without UN endorsement and there are endless human rights issues, top of the list being torturing people and locking them up for 14 years without trial in Guantanamo Bay. Their treatment of black citizens in the US, the number of executions and the number of people they lock up in the US makes what North Korea is doing seem very insignificant.
It is also the case that the US takes military action all over the world and is endlessly operating in other countries. North Korea is only ever looking at its own borders.
