It's been a while since I've fancied a stout. Northern Monk collab with Wiper & True, 2 brewers I'm rather partial to. Fairly light on the bitterness, well-roasted malt for that coffee thing and very smooth. I'd have another if I had another....

Tried the Raspberry a few days ago and definitely not as nice as the Cherry.

Not a huge fan of fruit beers usually but that Chouffe is decent although wouldn't want more than one.

Aldi's finest, you can actually taste the beer flavour.

It's worth getting a cheapo special offer Leffe with a glass gift box if you see one come round, as that's a good shape.

Have just returned from a brief jaunt in France and looked in many Leclercs, Intermarchés and Carrefours for said item.
RIen, rien, rien.
Last day coming through Nesles, a small town between Le Touquet and Boulogne, these were packed in a presentation box on the top shelf in the beer aisle, looking lonely as it was the only box remaining:

Worked out at £3.43 a bottle with 2 free glasses, all ok in my book. The downside is the glasses are only 15cl not 33cl, so a little on the small size for my taste...but probably not a bad idea for the Abt 12 @ 10% abv!

We've covered a couple of the St B's above and they're spectacular - would love to get hold of some of the Extra - that's a paterbier isn't it, lower alcohol drunk by monks

As for the glasses, think of them as sharing glasses and you'll be fine. If you like I could pop over to help you with that....

Extra 4 - abv 4.8%. "Extra 4 is a refreshing blonde beer with a snowy-white collar. Zesty and floral touches are perfectly balanced by the aroma of hops", according to the description on the box. (The paterbier is their Pater 6 at 6.7%, third from left in pic, yellow label).

Feel free..although its BB date is 12-2026, so you might not get here in time! But you are quite welcome to the Abt 12, BB date is 05-2029.
