I'll pass

Ok, horses for courses. Here's a gentle, balanced cask IPA from Vocation, Heart and Soul.

I found these in Home Bargains yesterday, a pound each for the small ones, and £1.49 for the big one.

From the left -

A typical modern pale, and the best of the bunch.

Too much pineapple going on for me.

Exactly what it says, quite light but still with plenty of flavour.

It looks very inviting but the can is slightly over selling it, rather than bold it's a bit more generic IPA, nothing wrong with it but nothing to make it stand out from the crowd either.

I was up in East Kilbride this week so as well as stocking up on Williams Bros Double Joker I had a look down the Sainsbury's beer aisle as they have a really good selection of Scottish breweries.

Stewart are another one who seem to get it right a lot more than wrong and this one is lovely, neither too hoppy or too bitter, it's got a nice light grapefruit flavour and is really easy to drink.

Excuse the glass but about a year ago I was up in Ellon working at Brewdog and liberated it from the hotel in town.

I remember coming across Stewart's Radical Road years ago in Lidl. It was still sold in bottles then and had a slight taste of (smokable) grass. To me, that is, no one else that I know ever tasted it. It was a fallback beer for me till they stopped stocking it.
