Refreshing, fairly tasty, would not refuse but not as good as the recent Belgians, welcome hydration. 5.0%.

After being on the Murphy's all week I had the choice of giving my liver a rest, or this -

A Croatian stout, a bit too sweet for me, but still very nice.

The Vocation was the usual quality that you'd expect from them, absolutely bang on.

We Are Beer have produced their top 50 beers of the year here - https://wearebeer.com/top-50-uk-beers/

Chuffed that Anspach & Hobday came first with their London Black because I have a modest investment in them, plus I've mentioned in this thread how much I like it. I also have a similarly small investment in the number 8 in the list, and I seem to have sampled a good number of the cask beers in the list.

So, come on, who've they left out and where should they come in the list? (Obviously, it's a UK beers list.)

Landlord, it's a decent pint but not number two.

And Tennants in thirtieth, someone must have been drinking something a lot stronger than that.

Nothing in there from Williams Bros in Alloa, one of the my favourite breweries.

I'd probably have Robinson's Old Tom, and Fuller's Vintage Ale in there as well.

And another one, Harbour Brewing/Asda West Coast Double IPA.

And finally Northern Monk Beyond IPA, this gets extra points for being a pint can.

I'd add Fierce as another missing Scottish brewer.

What about Caledonian? Does it still exist after all the share selling and brewery closure? Deuchars was an absolutely superb pint back in the day. Harviestoun too, Bitter & Twisted was excellent, as was Schiehallion lager - they were quite early on the hoppy lager train.

As an aside, my local here in Copenhagen has London Black on draught, with proper London Black pint glasses (rare to see an actual pint in Denmark, standard is 500ml and 400ml for craft beers). So pleased to hear I'm helping to build a nest egg for @deptfordmarmoset
