Brewed by Marstons in Wolverhampton, and sold in Home Bargains for 99p.

Looks and tastes exactly like Pedigree.

Another couple of new to me from Asda.

The Salt was a bit dull, couldn't seem to make it's mind up what flavour it should be.

The Kirkstall was lovely, lots of flavour and very quaffable.

I've not tried the Salt DIPA but their core range seems to specialise in a very grapefruity Citra flavour. I'd be surprised if it didn't also end up with a citric base.

I've had some good Kirkstall Beers. They're not as well known as Northern Monk or North but at least they rescued North brewing when they overreached.

Our local Tesco does quite a few Salts, the ones I've tried are all very similar, hazy, and quite harsh that leave me with a dry throat.

The only reason I tried that one from Asda was because they didn't have any of the Harbour Brewing double in stock.

I used to love a pint of Pedigree. The idea of it being brewed in Wolverhampton instead of Burton is horrific though  Carlsberg have a lot to answer for.

I do love a blonde ... 🍺👍

For those that love a blonde - I had Westmalle Duo (NOT Dubbel) at the weekend. It's a blend of the Tripel and the Extra (which is the 5% beer the monks drink themselves and is occasionally found bottled outside the abbey). It's only available on draught I think, and it's a new venture. It was extremely drinkable and very, very dangerous at 7.2% - went down more like a 6% if that.

Westmalle Tripel is one of my favourites so I will look out for the Duo on my next trip to Belgium ... 👍

If you're lucky you might find it in a craft beer bar in the UK - I drank mine in Copenhagen!

And yes, Westmalle Tripel is a top five for me. 🍻
