Beer?

Id say local brewed, the pub is run by Mr Bees Brewery now I think my friend who lives locally said, we've earmarked it for a visit next time Im down that way.

so Id presume its theirs. had a couple of their beers before, last time the Tour of Britain finished down there, they had a stall set up by the finish line area which was quite cool.

Sounds like what I seem to remember reading on the local rag's website when it first reopened last year and there was a keg option of Mr Bees Hybrid Ale which I'd like to have tried if I had more time. Seems to be limited opening hours (I was surprised to find it open when I passed) but appears to have a good reputation.

Im not surprised, apparently another pub up that road has closed recently, and then just out pottering around my local area, I know the weather locally wasnt exactly Ibiza like, but I was shocked how quiet the pubs that did open, bearing in mind alot of them dont on Mondays now, were for a bank holiday.

I'm not really a fan of any of those but Asda do have one of the best selections of the supermarkets at the moment.

For some reason the La Trappe beers leave me unconvinced. The blonde always seems a little flat, and the quad a bit one-dimensional

Not had that, but the tripel market is crowded with exceptional beers. The Westmalle and the Karmelite probably the top for me, but I've also heard good things about the Kasteel, which I've always swerved so far. St Feuillien is nice for a fairly clean tripel
