Why the urgency to get rid of the brown anyway? It'll be painted when it's painted, relax!

Ok door photos ... before and after - can you see why I wanted to get rid of the brown?

Now working on the porch and porch door ... blue wasn't quite the shade I had wanted but I'm sticking with it now I've done it.

Yes the paint had flaked off in quite a few places ... down to bare wood - though the white circles (actually a light blue paint layer beneath) around it is where I was trying to sand it to make it more level.

What an improvement a lick of paint makes.... my blue was meant to be a bit more subdued!

It's just that some people are terribly snobby about certain colours including brown, that's all.

No luckily ... I'll have you know that it is a low crime area (according to the bloke when I was arranging my home insurance), it is just a house in need of a bit of tender loving care (for that read £££ ).
