I wen't for my usual lunch ride today around the foothills of the Chilterns from Henley.

The route I took starts with a flat section from Henley to Marlow, then I take a left onto a narrow hilly road.

Now, a few weeks back on the hilly section I was my usual courteous self, if I heard a car behind, I would use a passing place to slow down and let the traffic pass. This proved to be a thankless thing to do, as the very cars and vans I would let pass, would end up stopping at the next narrow section to negotiate with the oncoming traffic. Very annoying. I would have been miles ahead had I not let them past.

So today, I did not pull aside to let vehicles pass, I just carried on doing my own thing, if a vehicle wanted to pass, they'd have to work it out themselves.

How selfish is that!!!!

PS, I got loads of PBs!!!!

Not selfish at all, you are allowed to use the roads in the manor for which they were intended.
