The word "Troll" comes to mind.

A bit harsh, I think @Pat "5mph" is one of the better mods. ^_^

Well, I'm a CC Mod ....

Good for you mate, I'm a mod at the 'Mission4Today' flight sim/ military affairs forum under the name 'PoorOldSpike', and i've also modded at other forums over the years, I saw ads like this and as I seemed perfectly suited I decided to give it a go..-

Not being funny, but reliability trials " emphasise fitness, self reliance and navigational skills" - ref.
Looking after yourself is at least as important as looking after the bike.

Absolutely, if we have a crash miles from medical help, here's a useful bit of first aid advice from Di Caprio on how to deal with a cut-
1/2- Get some gunpowder and pack it into the wound
3/4- Take a burning ember and detonate it-

One other thing. Who rides 100 miles with a rucksack?

Funnily enough, I never used a ruck for many of my earlier cycle-camping trips, and simply crammed my sleeping bag, tent and bits and pieces into a single saddlebag (below).
But in more recent years I dispensed with the saddlebag and carried everything in a ruck on my back as an experiment and it felt very comfortable, so I've stuck with a ruck ever since..

PS- for the record here's a dramatically-posed pic of me in my glory days, my personal best for a 10-mile TT was 25:17.. :becool:
