I'd never heard of a bell end until I came across the term on CC, and have yet to read it or hear it anywhere else.

Commonly used term in these parts, a sort of polite version of "pr*ck".

A contender for the 2nd prize ?
Obligatory on any Scapa Flow trip. I have one of me there.

There is also Cocks in Cornwall and I have a pic of a pregnant Mrs Sub looking all coy at that road sign ...

The folk of that place decided a fair few years ago that the town name made it the subject of a certain mockery because of, yer know, reminds you of stains.

So the nits decided to officially rename it Staines upon Thames.

Which of course reinforces the joke.

A sheltered life.

It used to cause much mirth in my northern scout group - bell end tents you know.

It was also in wide common use.

At the risk of being too subtle* clitheroe.

* It wasn't too subtle for an old feverish work spellchecker of mine.

And foreign folk tend to rather zoom in on it.

Wasn't scunthorpe city council barred from their own website by their net nanny detector software ?
