I got a Leyzene KTV for about a fiver a while back, crap to see, but great to be seen. USB rechargable if thats any use to you? I use it all the time on winter days. Not sure of run time but it's a fair few hours :okay:

Poundland do one that's like an LED torch with steady and flashing modes. No idea what the quality / longevity is like, but it's a quid!
Although my current daytime light on the hybrid is one I got from Aldi for about £6 and I can't fault it.

I needed a front light in a hurry and tried the Poundland to get me home and the quality is absolutely S**** and fell apart soon after leaving the shop, however I am still using the rear light that I bought at the same time almost two years later.

In murky light conditions and/or rain, which seem to have been the only sort available recently, I firmly believe in putting lights on. And, no, I will not wear high viz. I also put lights on in my cars in the same conditions and do not wear high viz in those either (but I do carry them, as required by the law on the mainland.) As to choice - I love the Moon Comet clones that Aldi were selling recently. Light, simple, bright, effective and re-chargeable.

I wouldn't bother with a light in daytime in the summer, but on gloomy days like this morning or also in a sunny day when the sun is low and you are moving in and out of deep shadow then they are useful. Though the number of times my friends would point out "I'd left my lights on".

I bought a Lezyne Zecto copy from China for this duty. Depends on what you class as best, it was £7 delivered, bright, different flash modes and will charge on USB.
