Damn scene gets me every time. No matter how much I brace myself ready for it.

Me too. However I have learned to put everything down when the scene starts.

'You know Skipper, I'm going to recommend you for a medal, and when it comes, I'm going to pin it right on your....

What?

...On your tail

There's Norway............... and you can have it'

'Put it out..... PUT THE BLOODY THING OUT!!'

The best bit is from 1.49 onwards, but the reason for the Norwegian Resistance at the beginning will soon become clear. The music isn't bad either:

The implication in that film was that the Norwegian resistance fighter, who was the brother of the woman the group captain fell for, broke down under torture and gave away the plan. He should have taken a cyanide pill.

Pity the allies didn't requisition some proper Me109s at the end of the war for future film use. Any schoolboy can tell a Me108 from a Me109 (or is it a Bf109). Those aircraft explosions don't look very realistic neither, like airfix kits blown up by bangers.

Can't help thinking the group captain made a mistake retreating back out the fjord.

Isn't that the film where the Germans take the guy prisoner and start to torture him but the place is bombed before he can really say anything??

It was made in 1963, so of course they used models, these days it would be CGI, who really cares? it is still a great wee film so leave off!

Please, don't think about it so much and just sit back and enjoy as you are meant too!:thumbsup:
