Best Pedals to use for JOGLE

Hi Guys & Girls,

I am taking on JOGLE next year and wanted a few opinions about what might be the best pedals to use on my Road Bike. I currently use a set of Shimano M540 which are MTB pedals and have found them to be more than fine, but over longer distances I have found my feet going numb and was wondering if the larger flatter Road Pedal would serve me better.

Any thoughts on this would be most appreciated

Switch to a touring pedal like the A520's.

It's not the pedals that are causing you discomfort, it's your shoes.
Get yourself a pair of shoes with a much stiffer sole.

I have Specialized BG Sport MTB shoes...........are these no good? They have been ok for the last few years?

I have the same shoes and they do me fine over very long distances.
Perhaps in that case it may be worth looking at your cleat set up.

With my last shoes I also found that my feet got numb over longer distances, especially on warm days - it was my feet swelling and they needed loosening a little around the toe box, which sorted it.
