D plate some were 280 Brooklands versions. doubt plod would have bought a 280. a 2.8 injec yes , but they were pigs to drive.

My first car was an early Alegro (with a square steering wheel) and they were fine so long as they were being driven in a straight line at less than 30mph on a dry road and you didn't need to suddenly apply the brakes or turn the steering wheel.
