You're nicked, son!
When you enlarge the picture and stare at it, yes you can see it says 2500. Sorry, my mistake. The left hand badge may offer a clue...?
Even now, in the course of my employment, I talk to Traffic Police, who still have great fondness for the SenatorPossibly the greatest police car ever. I drove one in the early 90s and nothing after that ever came close... what power, and what space and comfort. They drove like a dream on shouts with rear wheel drive, a 3 litre 24v engine and a sport gearbox.
I'd say it's a jam sandwich.No description but i'd say it's a 1971 Triumph 2000.

There was a car dealer next door to me who had 5 stored and personal RS cars - As an investment RS Cosworth Sierra and Escorts one had only 4000 miles! Poor sod got divorced and had to flog them off about 5 years ago, sold for half the value they are now. I just remember lusting after them as an 18 year old and how many were getting stolen. They were genuine supercars for not a lot more than a sporty saloon. Those Cosworths were seriously quick. I used to know a bloke who worked on the police helicopter years ago. He told me a tale about tailing a stolen Cosworth along the motorway one night, and the car was easily outstripping the helicopter. Not surprising as the Cosworth was capable of 150+ mph and the helicopter about 110. The only way they managed to keep it in their sights was that the helicopter could cut straight across a couple of long sweeping bends in the motorway whereas the car had to go round their full length, but even then they struggled to keep up. He said he felt quite silly until the car was driven off the motorway into the built up area of the city and there was nowhere the car could get near its top speed.
They've got to use em for something, they're hardly selling like hotcakes.![]()
