Looking at replacing worn out rear sprocket and chainring soon and wondered if there was a specific single/fixed speed shop that you could recomend. The main shops sell stuff but wondered if there was a better supplier out there.
Cheers

keep pedalling in Manchester city centre can
get stuff from soma, brick lane bikes etc

Any good LBS should be able to get anything within reason.

An LBS with a racing bent should be quite familiar with the notion of road-based fixed-gear bikes and should be able to advise on (and supply) pretty much anything you're after.

I understand a yearning for a 'specialist' retailer, but most of what you put on a fixed or S/S bike is pretty standard or pretty readily available through a good LBS.

I usually browse Tokyo Fixed's website for ideas, then find those items somewhere else 10+% cheaper.
TF is a nice shop, although a bit overpriced. Haven't been to BLB yet,you cant find anything on their website. But I'm quite sure that they too put a "hipster" tax on their stuff.

For parts I'd go for "Wiggle" or "Chain reaction", or search "wiggle" and price match it in Evans .

Another vote for Charlie the Bikemonger. I also used Velosolo and Freshtripe when I had my fixed.

Warning - Freshtripe's not cheap though!

Another vote for Charlie - got a fixed wheel from him for my birthday and it's very good.
His website doesn't quite fit my netbook screen, such that the banner across the top reads 'Charlie The BikeMong' which doesn't quite have the right ring to it.

What are you running on the front? 48x18 here which I've been running for years, occasionally spin out on the flat with a good tail wind, but mostly It seems like a good compromise (only had to get off once to get up a hill)

Still easy to try, and maybe enough in horizontal dropouts to let you use the same chain, have you got a flip flop hub?
